Switching accounts no longer flashes. Until this version, moving to another account could show an empty background for a fraction of a second before the inbox appeared.

The cause was worth writing down. Inactive accounts were being detached from the window, and the system's web engine throws away everything it has drawn for a view that has been out of a window for four seconds. Coming back therefore meant drawing the page again from scratch. Inactive accounts now stay in the window but hidden, which the engine treats as invisible in every way that saves power, timers slowed, animations paused, while keeping the last painted image. Switching is instant and nothing redraws.

Profile photos load again. The previous fix had made it worse, and this version removed it and solved the real problem.

Two mistakes stacked up. The app searched for the photo before Gmail had finished drawing its header, and it had started sending your Google cookies to the image server, which was both unnecessary and counterproductive: the photo is public. Now the app waits inside the page until the header exists, looks in more places, and downloads the image without any cookies.

The first feature update after launch.

• Your own image per account. Edit an account and choose a picture, or remove it again to fall back to the Google photo or the initial.
• The window title now shows the name you gave an account instead of the email address.
• The unread badge could get stuck on an old number, because Gmail leaves the count out of the page title once you reach zero. The badge now reads the count from the inbox itself.
• Profile photos are found more reliably: the app waits for Gmail to draw its header instead of giving up after a few tries.
• Passkeys are hidden on Google's sign-in page, so you are offered your password or a confirmation on your phone straight away. This is not something we can fix: Apple allows passkeys only in full web browsers, and every embedded web view is refused, which we verified with a test build. Bluetooth plays no part, so no Bluetooth permission is needed either.
• A menu item to reopen the main window after you close it, under the Window menu.
• Upload dialogs work in every window, including pop-out tabs and child windows.

The first release. Several Gmail and Google Workspace accounts side by side in one native window, each in its own isolated session, in the real Gmail interface, with native notifications and an unread badge per account, the Google tools as tabs next to each inbox, a floating account panel, and the option to be your default mail app.

How updates reach you

Through the Mac App Store, like any other app installed from it. If you have automatic updates switched on in System Settings, new versions install by themselves; otherwise the App Store shows them under Updates. Nuncio has no updater of its own and never downloads code outside the App Store.

Release notes in the store itself are deliberately short, because Apple shows only a few lines and most releases are small. This page is the long version.
